Check the required notice period
In Meetings → Notice, StrataOwn displays the minimum days required for your scheme's state. The countdown starts from the day the notice is delivered, not the day it is prepared.
Issue the notice
Complete the agenda, attach supporting documents, and click Issue notice. StrataOwn timestamps the issue and warns if the meeting date falls within the minimum period.
Reissue if needed
If an error is found after issue, use Reissue notice. The original notice is retained in the audit trail. The notice period countdown restarts from the reissue date.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many days' notice is required in my state?expand_more
The most common minimum is 7 days for an EGM and 14–21 days for an AGM, but this varies by state and by-laws. StrataOwn displays the applicable period once your building's state is set in Settings.
Do electronic notices count from the send date?expand_more
In most states, electronic delivery is treated as received the same day if sent before a cut-off time. StrataOwn records the exact send timestamp and applies the state's delivery rule automatically.
