Document audit log
How the audit log records document uploads, replacements, and downloads for compliance purposes.
Before you start

You have Manager or Admin role in StrataBuddy.
Open the audit log
Navigate to Documents → Audit log. Every document event is listed in reverse chronological order: uploads, replacements, downloads, and deletions.
Filter events
Use the filters to narrow by date range, event type (upload / replace / download / delete), user, or document category. This is useful when investigating a specific incident or preparing a report for an auditor.
Export the log
Click Export CSV to download the filtered results. The export includes the document name, event type, user, IP address, and UTC timestamp for each entry.

Can deleted documents be recovered?expand_more
Documents deleted by a user are soft-deleted for 30 days and can be restored from the audit log. After 30 days they are permanently removed. The audit log entry is retained indefinitely even after permanent deletion.
Who can view the audit log?expand_more
The audit log is visible to users with Manager or Admin role. Standard committee members and owners can see their own download history on their profile page, but cannot see other users' activity.
